Animated 3D Knots App Reviews

This is an exceptional app. I was in the scouts as a kid and have less than happy memories of trying to learn how to tie the knots to earn my Tenderfoot badge. If I had this app then I would have aced the test in one attempt. I intend to recommend this app to everyone.

But it gets the job done, and runs on non-ipad ios devices, for teaching basic knots to scouts. No truckers hitch is a huge oversight for one of the most used knots! Also, I do not appreciate being nagged to rate and review after PAYING for an app. Hogtie whoever established this paradigm!

Great app but it needs more knots. No taut-line hitch, no mooring hitch!?

I like it. When Im trunk to get things done at work, your app makes a quick and easy assist for my guys to understand what knots I want used exactly.

I dont see how this app is different from the same developers "Animated Knots" which I also have. It is not actually 3D, like the app "Knots 3D", in which you can rotate the knots on the screen to see all sides.

Really like the app. The simple descriptions and the demonstrations are great. Id really like to see a Truckers Hitch (or if its already on there, figure out what youre calling it). By all means, get back to me if Im just missing something.

easy to follow animation and a great selection of knots with favorites option. would be great to see even more types that i could download but this has enough to cover most peoples needs

Theres better apps out there.

Long time since scouts but this app makes it easy to follow the steps to make each knot. Would be even better if it listed when each knot is better to use and why.

I was surprised to find no option for knots to tie on humans to make them more immobile, on the next update add a crime/kidnapping option and Ill rate higher

I would knot want to be caught without it.

This app crashes whenever I press "add" on add comment. Over all, the app is pretty well.

Great app for learning knots and has plenty of knots to download

I have really enjoyed this app and all the knots that are shown. There is an option to download more knots and they do not take long to load. However, once you exit the app the downloaded knots disappear and you have to download them again. Wish this would get fixed, then perfect 5 star rating.

The categorization and notes are very useful. Yes, there could be more knots but it’s a free app and probably has the majority of common knots that an average person would use.

This app is very nice and easy to use. My boys use it alot, but I ding it a star because it doesnt save the knots you download! I can understand with the free version, so I bought the $1.99 version thinking it would keep them. Nope!! Several of the scout knots my boys are working on have to be downloaded, and know we know each time they want to work on it. A pain. But otherwise, good app.
